我校为U21大学联盟成员之一。近期，U21联盟与普华永道合作举办研究生三分钟演讲创新挑战赛活动，现面向我校研究生召集应战学生。具体事宜通知如下：
背景介绍
U21/PwC三分钟演讲创新挑战赛由U21联盟与普华永道共同组织，面向U21成员高校研究生提出实际工作中的全球性挑战问题，由学生提出解决方案，并以三分钟视频的形式来提交答卷。期望参赛学生运用学习到的知识，发挥专业技能，向潜在雇主展示自己的能力。具体内容，可参见U21网站。
挑战主题
How can universities help individuals (students) gain a broader perspective on the long-term impact and consequences of their day-to-day actions on people, society and the environment? What types of jobs will an environmentally-sensitive economy need, and what is the best way to prepare students for them?
参赛资格
参赛人需为欧宝app官方网站下载全日制在读研究生，包括国际研究生。
时间安排
2019年12月13日，完成在线报名（https://tongqu.me/act/22282），并将三分钟演讲初稿(word格式，命名为：院系+姓名+学号)发送至gs.global@sjtu.edu.cn。
2019年12月18日（暂定），校内初赛；
2019年12月20-30日，校内培训，组织录像；
2019年12月31日，提交视频。
奖励办法
我校将推荐四名学生代表欧宝app官方网站下载参加国际比赛。普华永道将为最终优胜者提供为期一周的迪拜之旅，为其他优胜者也将提供证书和培训机会。
视频提交要求
•演讲时间严格限定在3分钟之内；超过三分钟，视为不合格。
•允许使用单张幻灯片。
•三分钟音频必须连续录制，不可编辑、中断。
•演讲需以英文白话进行，不可出现诗句，说唱，或演唱等其他语言形式。
•视频中不允许有其他的电子媒体素材，不允许使用道具。
•评审委员会的决定将为最终结果。

U21/PwC Innovation Challenge Competition
Background
SJTU is one of the U21 member universities.Universitas 21and PwC, two globally-focusedorganisations, have come together to offerunique professional developmentopportunities for U21’s network of graduatestudents. This alliance supports and preparesU21 students for the world of work by allowingthem to consider and respond to realworkplace challenges, overseen by PwC andjudges from their client companies. The formatof the competition is designed to help studentsdevelop presentation and communicationskills as well as fostering critical thinkingandexpertise.
This online competition will set contemporary, globally-important challenges to whichU21students ‘pitch’ online solutions to the companies thus offeringthemearlier access to potential employers before the end of their studies, coupled with additional employability and training opportunities. This will also allow U21 students access to ‘real-world’ situations to which they can apply their knowledge and test the value of their technical skills, research ingenuityandtalents in the world of work.

Competition Theme

Eligibility
The competition will be open to any registered full-time graduate student inSJTU, including international students.
Timeline
December 13:Register online athttps://tongqu.me/act/22282and submit the script of your 3 minutes speech (Word format, name as School+Name+Student ID) to gs.global@sjtu.edu.cn.
December 18 (tentative): Internal preliminary contest
December 20-30:Training, filming videos
December 31: Video submission by SJTU
Prizes
SJTU will submit four best videos to U21 for final adjudication.The main prize will be a fully-paid expenses trip to Dubai for one week valued at $3000. All approvedentrants into the U21 final will receiveexclusive access to online courses provided bythe PwC Academy to support workplace skillsdevelopment. A non-credited commendationcertificate will be given by U21/PwC to eachstudent who enters the competition.
Rules for submission
Entries to be submitted for final adjudication are limited to 4 per U21 institution and should be submitted to U21 via an agreed university contact. Students should not submit their videos directly to U21.
Submissions must be via video format, either an MP4 file or .MOV. Files sent in any other format will not be accepted.
Video presentations are strictly limited to 3 minutes and competitors exceeding this will be disqualified.
Entrants will be judged on their presentation skills and they must feature in the video.
Group submissions are not accepted.
It is permissible to use a maximum of one slide per presentation.
The 3-minute audio must be continuous – no edits or breaks etc.
Presentations are to be spoken word only (e.g. no poems, raps or songs). No additional electronic media (e.g. sound and video files) are permitted within the video recording.
Props are not allowed.
The decision of the adjudicating panel is final.
Group round winners and runners up will be expected to provide a report after the competition to reflect on their experience.
Intellectual Property
By submitting your entry to the Innovation Challenge, you are acknowledging that your ideas/research will be made publicly accessible and shared with industry professionals. Videos will be uploaded to Vimeo and disseminated through the U21 website and social media platforms (Twitter, Facebook and Instagram), and PwC’s media channels. Your video will be shared with PwC’s clients (you will be notified which clients and be contacted should any work-related opportunities arise). Judges, reviewers, staff and the audience will not be asked to sign non-disclosure statements.
U21 and PwC may take stills, video and/or audio clips of the presentations, or copy material prepared for use in the presentation, for promotional purposes. If your presentation draws on work/research that is being/has been conducted under contract with an outside sponsor, you are advised to discuss the related contractual terms of confidentiality and intellectual property with your supervisor(s) before participating in this competition. U21 and PwC have the right to ask you to withdraw from the competition if these conditions are not met.
