Abstract
Cable-driven Units (CDUs) are commonly applied in the robotics field. Many robotic systems with CDUs use parallel end-effector structures because of the advantages such as fast reactions and high force outputs. This talk will present the mechanical design and control strategies of several prototypes of CDUs. Then, several robotic systems will be presented to show the application of CDUs in the rehabilitation of upper limbs, lower limbs and whole body in different recovery phases.
