Thiscourseisagraduate-levelcorecoursethatintroducesthefundamentalconcepts and principles of electrochemical processes related toenergystorageandconversion. It aims to cultivate students ’ foundational understanding of electrochemicalphenomena and to enhancetheirabilitytoanalyzeelectrochemical systems,behaviors,andcharacteristiccurves.Thecourseprovidesasolidtheoreticalbasisfor further exploration of electrochemical technologiesintheenergyfield.The course covers a systematic introductiontoelectrochemicalfundamentals,including basic concepts, the thermodynamics of electrochemical reactions,electrode processesand kinetics, mass transport in liquid phases, andelectrochemicalanalysis methods. Inaddition,itintroduces the fundamentalprinciples behind electrochemical applications in energytechnologies,suchasbattery energy storage, clean fuel production,and electrolysisandelectrosynthesis. |
